Rendering Cities more resilient
Tectonic movements, geological activity or even climate change can cause movements of the earth in the range of a few centimetres per year. Stretched over several months, such movements will severely impact and eventually damage the infrastructure that is built on the earth's surface. We help city planners and officials as well as developers and contractors to monitor the resilience of fragile infrastructure so that they can ensure that critical infrastructure has the tenacity to withstand the forces of nature.
Infrastructure Stability Index
Based on radar sensors measurements, Earth Analytics India can monitor displacements on the ground - for example the degree of subsidence at Brisbane Airport over a period of two years, as shown in the example on the left.
This spatial approach to detect unstable infrastructure helps engineers to make their infrastructure objects more resilient against the forces of nature. This method has been applied equally on pipelines, dams, high speed train tracks and even larger building and factory sites.
